My 18 Week Appointment

I'm 4 months pregnant now and even though I'm only 18 weeks along I measure with the twins as though I'm 27 weeks along, crazy! My midwife showed me some pictures of women pregnant at full term with their twins and they were huge! I'm nervous to see how big I'll get. My aunt went full term and had two 8lbs. baby girls. We had our ultrasound to see what they are and Baby A is a GIRL and Baby B is a BOY! We are all excited this is what I was hoping for, but I was thinking they were two girls. I just think this way is the easiest way to raise twins, less competition and others won't compare them as much. It was very hard to see the babies sex in the ultrasound because there are so many more limbs kicking around. It's so neat to see two babies in an ultrasound I think I want to go and get a video of them because it is so crazy! My midwife also said I might want a second opinion because it really is much harder to tell. We have decided that the girl will be named Daisy Marian (Marian after my grandma who is also a girl boy twin) and the boy to be Walt Denmark (Denmark after Danny's grandpa). This is the picture of the ultrasound if you can tell what is going on...Baby A, her head is on the left and her legs open from the side like this < and nothing is hanging (we are looking at her backside). Then Baby B, all you see in this picture is his legs opened at the top left corner and his looks like an upside down u and you can see a little something hanging from the middle, not the smudge coming out of his leg(this is also his backside). This is me pregnant with twins at 4 months along. This is me pregnant normally at 4 months along. (I hate that I was sticking me tongue out, but this it the only picture I have at 4 months pregnant).

Hannah Montana Party

On Monday Hanna was invited to her friends Hannah Montana birthday party. The girls were to dress up like Rock Stars. It was fun getting Hanna ready for the party and Max enjoyed helping her too. Max reminded us of her earrings and necklace and then he put them on her. (Please excuse Max, in the background). Van enjoyed the cake, A LOT! He didn't know how to eat one at his 1st birthday just a few months ago, but he sure knew how to this time!

How many have your name?

My friend posted this on her blog and I thought it was so fun I actually posted 3 comments on her blog. I didn't think anyone would have more me(s) than me, then I put in Daniel Jensen and he beat me at 610 him(s)! There used to only be 3 of me until I got married. I decided I needed to post it as well. It's fun try it!

The Sprint Triathlon

Last weekend my sister Rebecca was in town for the Lake Las Vegas Sprint Triathlon. Which she and my sister-in-law Cindy, both coincidentally participated in. On Friday while my sister did a few things to get ready for the Tri. I had her 3 year old son Baxter and two of my friends little boys (my friend Joanna was having her 5th baby). So I had six kids 5 years and under, all six for 4 hours. They all played really well together the three 3 year olds were all so different. Baxter is full of lots of fun energy and he had fun chasing the 5 year olds with the swords. My friends little boy Tanner is happy playing quietly by himself. And Hanna would switch off from playing swords, playing with Tanner, or being close to mom. After lunch for the last 30 minutes I turned on a movie and took a picture of the best way to babysit six kids 5 and under. (I wonder if the twins will like T.V. too, j/k)! The triathlon was Saturday, so we got up early and went out to see both Rebecca and Cindy participate in the race. They both did such a wonderful job and where we stood we had the chance to see them 5 times each. We didn't see them in the swim, which everyone said, was so dang hard. I guess the swim is only suppose to be a 1/4 of a mile, but because the way they had to go it was a 1/2 a mile. Then after the swim they had to walk a 1/2 mile up hill to their bikes. They both said they felt the best on the bike which was an 11 mile bike ride and most of that was up hill. Rebecca on her bike. But after the bike they run 3 miles (a 5K) and the first two parts were up hill. Rebecca did her race in one hour and 32 minutes (not including her transitions) which was her goal so she did awesome. Rebecca and her partner Christine plan to do an International Triathlon in June. My sister-in-law Cindy said the tri. was much harder and took longer for her body to recover than the 1/2 Marathon. Cindy and her friend Amy at the finish line. I'm just so impressed at people who do these sort of things one day I'll do a 5k and my goal will be no walking and I'll be proud! Saturday night my sister and I took my mom out for her 61st birthday to Red Lobster. It was good to go out to dinner and talk. We had a good time together!

Camping

Last weekend we went camping with my mom, and Danny's brother Tom and family. We wanted to go to the Valley of Fire like we did last year, but they were all full so we drove to Overton and found a camping place called Echo Bay. It was really close to the lake so we took a walk down to the lake and the kids put their feet in and threw rocks. We just went for one night, but we had a good time together. Hanna's New Big Wheel

My dad and Debi came into town last weekend and brought Hanna a red radio flyer big wheel with a big flag for her birthday. After Danny put it all together Hanna and grandpa were out back and Grandpa asked Hanna, "How do you like your new big wheel?" Hanna: "I said I wanted a princess bike. (Pause) This one like boy." Grandpa: "Oh, well maybe for Christmas you'll get a princess bike." Hanna: "Oh ya, I like my big wheel." (Happy) I didn't hear their conversation my dad told me about it, but luckily he found her funny. I was a little embarrassed that she would say that, but I guess that's where children are brighter than adults and just say how they feel. I was happy with the big wheel because she can start using it now and Van can play on it too. Most 3 year old children can only sit on their bike and do nothing else with it for a year. She's been having a lot of fun with it and so has Van! My dad and Debi have been fostering a little boy Jaden, he is Debi's nieces baby. They're not sure how much longer they'll have him, but they have grown to love him, he's a cutie!
