Pumpkin Carving Contest

My sister-in-law had her 7Th annual pumpkin carving contest last Saturday. Everyone dresses up and gets so into both the pumpkin and costume contest. We have so much fun thinking of what we will be as a family. This year we were "TEAM JENSEN" a basketball team with our 5 kids, Danny the couch and me the cheerleader.
I got the kids jerseys from Walmart and then I ironed on there number and "Team Jensen" on the back and for the babies I just had to navy outfits and ironed on a basketball and numbers on the front and thanks to my sister I used her cheer sweeter. We won the funniest costume and Danny won the scariest pumpkin "Mega Mouth".

Carving our pumpkins.
A few of the pumpkins, with Danny's winning pumpkin "Mega Mouth" next to Max's "Scary Zombie" (with dad's help of course).
My brother Kurt came with Skye, he a nerd and Skye a hip-hop dancer.
My sister also came with Kristine and Baxter, Baxter a scuba diver.

It was so nice having almost all my siblings in town (we missed you Uncle Greg), we had a wonderful time together! We were happy to have Micheal at the pumpkin party as well.
Danny blessed the babies yesterday, he always gives our children such wonderful blessings, they're so lucky to have him as a father. (I'll post those pictures when I get them back).

Happy 30th Birthday Danny!

Today is Danny's 30Th birthday (yes, I'm 5 months older than him). Last night I took him to the Venetian to celebrate both his birthday and our anniversary. We got a great deal on a room and we only had to take the babies with us. My mom had Max, Hanna, and Van and then Danny's mom Dee came to the hotel with our niece Olivia to watch the babies from 6-9 last night. Danny and I were able to go to dinner at the Grand Lux, take a ride on the gondola, and go in the hot tube for a little bit as well. I've found out what will turn your man on more than anything else; what you do is do our hair in a way you've never done it before and your man will think you're the most beautiful women in the world (wear a wig if you need to)! Basically, he'll fell as though he is having an affair with another women (that's OK as long as it's still you)! The sad thing was Danny was all over me and was waiting all week for last night, but the babies did not cooperate at all, so we didn't even get a chance to do the you know what, poor Danny!
Good thing Daisy and Walt are so cute that all we could do was hold them and love on them! We had a wonderful time and we thank our wonderful mothers for taking care of all our babies!

Just a cute picture of all our babies the other morning!

Good News!

Walt gained 11 oz. in 3 days and Daisy gained 6 oz. Walt is now 8 lbs. 3 oz. and Daisy is now 7 lbs. 3 oz. What I did these past 3 days was nursing a full nursing and then gave them each 1 oz. of formula and so they were taking 8 oz. of formula in 24 hours. My doctor told me today to let them eat as much as they want from a bottle after nursing. He was happy they gained, but still wants to see them next week to be sure they're still going up. So we were happy about their growth!

Catch Up Post

OK, I got my camera fixed so I can post pictures again. The babies are 6 weeks old today. Poor Walt had his circumcision today, glad that's done with. The Doctor is concerned because they haven't really taken off with their weight gain, especially Walt, so I have to bring him in again Friday and if he hasn't gone up a good amount then he'll possibly need to go back to the hospital. That was pretty depressing. The Doc. asked us to start supplementing formula and that will hopefully solve the problem, so we started that today and hopefully they will gain enough by Friday. Walt now weighs 7lbs. 6oz. and Daisy weighs 6lbs. 13oz. The Doc. says even though they've gained some weight, on the growth chart they aren't going up, they're actually lower than 5% for both weight and height.
Daisy is my social, smilie little girl, but also is the one I have to hold a lot because she has a very sensitive tummy and gets colic easy. Walt is very serious and very observent when looking around his eyes are always WIDE open. He is patient and always lets Daisy feed first if taking turns. It's been a lot of nursing these first few weeks, but I feel so blessed to have these wonderful spirits in my home and life!
My brother Greg came to town last weekend to meet the babies. He had more fun playing with the bigger kids. The kids had a lot of fun playing with Uncle Greg!
Here is one of my favorite pictures of Daisy and Walt at two weeks old. (I just wished it turned out better).
