Beach Camping

No pictures of us camping just pictures of us at the beach and Grandpa's.
We camped for 3 nights and enjoyed spending time together.

Kept Clark covered up. He did so good.

The kids were glad to have grandpa visit for the day.

Grandpa making Clark laugh.

Walt loved watching the train go by. Everytime the train went by
Walt said take a picture so we can have it. So here is Walt with the train.

We enjoyed our walk to the Pier.

We visited Grandma & Grandpa before going home.

The kids were exhausted! They slept the whole way home, we didn't stop once!

4th of July 2012

Got up early to make it to the Boulder City Parade with Tom, Becky & Family. We were just a little late, but we made it. Phew! We went to the park across the street from Grandma Roma Jensen's old house. Danny and Tom even got to walk through her old house. Then we all went to A&W for lunch.
Then we played in the water at a park.
Played at Uncle Jeff's & Aunt Cindy's for the rest of the day.
Clark's First 4th of July
Spent 20 bucks on Fireworks and called it good.

Tummy Time

Still not rolling.

It sure isn't bothering him.

Summer Activities

We have been doing the Power of Mom's Summer Program (www.powerofmoms.com) and we're really liking it. There's two different parts to the program; Part 1, the work (which of course the kids aren't loving that part of it, but doing way better than I thought they were going to). And Part 2, the fun. Most of the pictures on this post are from Part 2 of the program of course.
After the kids do their everyday "Morning Routine" (make bed, say prayers, get dress, put away p.j.s, brush teeth, brush hair and eat breakfast).
Then they do Part 1 of the program. Which, consists of 20 mins. of Reading, a Writing Page or Writing Activity, a Home Chore (off list), a 15 min. Physical Activity,  Practice one of their summer goals and then an Extra (20 mins. of computer work (typing/ math/reading). Each activity is about 15-20 minutes long. And they are do each of these items Mon-Fri. and are really doing a good job! Most likely because I bribe them :) We have a jar of fun inexpensive activities and if they do their full chart for the week, then on Saturday, they get to join us in whichever activity gets drawn out of the jar. (Everyone has been able to participate so far, of course I do a simpler program for the younger kids).
And Part 2 of the program is the fun activities. Make it Monday (do anything; arts/crafts/bake...). Take a Trip Tuesday (can just be to Sonic). Wet Wednesday (switch it up, make it fun). Thinking Thursday (put together a list of different questions your kids ask about; like how do you make cheese? Where does paper come from? Then search the web for answers or watch some neat YouTube Videos on "How It's Made"). And Friend Friday (every child gets a friend).

Not a party, just Friend Friday :)
The kids enjoyed painting this table cloth.
Make it Monday

Doing lots of reading. I love that Hanna enjoys this.
