Halloween Shenanigans

Getting our carving on for FHE!
 Clark enjoyed painting his pumpkin.
 Pumpkin patch fun!
Daisy and Walt had to do a pumpkin book report.
I thought their pumpkins turned out pretty good with a little help from dad.
Max had a Halloween dance at school with this fun group of kids!
Walt the wizard, Van the Zombie, Hanna the nerd and Daisy the Vampire Cheerleader.

The upper school had Pink and Orange dress up day at school
The school had a costume parade, which I loved!
It brought back memories when I was in elementary school.
 Happy Halloween!
 Jane's 1st Halloween, she was a cat.
Spider man Clark with his little cat sister.

What they've been waiting for all month long, CANDY!

October Misc.

Family Night at Gravady!
Max really did brake his wrist!
He was playing football with his friends and for three days
he kept telling me it was broken so I took him in
and to my surprise it was!
Made some family rules. Hope they help!

It's been soccer games every Friday night watching Hanna and Van.
Didn't get any pics. of them playing because I was too distracted by this crew.
Hanna, Van and Walt each scored a goal at the first game of the season.
Walt sure deserved this trophy!
Walt has had lots of fun playing soccer this season.
He is a super hard worker and it showed on the field!
Walt was all over the place defending and scoring, Walt was the team!

We Love You Grandma Mike

We took a quick trip to St. George, to say good-bye to Grandma Mike.
She passed away 6 days later on October 18th with my mom and Aunt Joann at her bed side.
She was 89 years old, which was the same age her mother, Alta Cooper was when she died.
At the funeral on Oct. 24, 2015 at Forest Lawn in Cypress, CA.
With all 4 of her children.
My mom, Jim, Janet and Joann.
Grandma died on a Sunday.
I was in sacrament meeting when my sister left the message on my phone telling me that she had passed away. The closing hymn was I Believe in Christ.
Later that day I was talking to my mom and we were trying to think of the song she always wanted Rebecca to sing at her funeral. My mom said, "Oh I know, it's I Believe in Christ. but it's too long so we'll have her sing this other song instead." I said, "Mom that was the song that we sang in sacrament meeting really close to the time grandma passed away. Rebecca needs to sing that song!"
So, Rebecca sang "I Believe in Christ" at her funeral.

Grandma Mike with almost all her grand children
at her 88th Birthday just last year.
With almost all of her great grand-kids.
Singing to Grandma

A few pics. of Grandma Mike.
I love the pic. on the right with Daisy and Grandma.
Daisy loved her Great Grandma Mike!
Grandma Mike's real name is Marian Giles Michaelson.
She was also a twin and so we named Daisy, Daisy Marian after Grandma.
My Grandpa Gravell was at the funeral.

Jane is 3 Months Old

This girl is 3 months old and is getting nice and chunky!
She is such a happy baby girl and such a joy!
She has torticollis.
It's a tight muscle in her neck, which causes her to favor one side.
We are doing stretches with her and hopefully soon it will correct itself.
My sister-in-laws threw me a family baby shower.

Daisy & Her BFF

Daisy spent her whole summer at her friend Violet's house!
She goes to her house almost every day after school.
They watched Cupcake Wars today and then
with Violet's older sister Jade's help they made cupcakes.
Daisy, Jade and Violet licking the frosting.
Daisy's cupcake, that she couldn't actually eat.
Daisy got this done at the school Fall Festival.

Trip to Utah for Conference & Fun

We had a late start on our trip to Utah because of car troubles,
but we made it to our first BYU game with the kids!
It was cold and rained on and off, but we had a great time!
(Daisy, Walt and Clark stayed with Grandma Susan for the weekend).
We woke up early the next morning to go to the
Saturday Morning General Conference Session.
Sadly, Danny didn't make it in.
It was such a wonderful experience taking these three for their first time.
 Meeting up with Danny afterwards.
One more with me Max, Hanna and Van.
(My Cousin Heidi watched Baby Jane).
We stayed at our friends the Finken's for the weekend.
We enjoyed their home, company, nickel arcades together,
their taste in food and watching conference together!
The kids loving on baby Jane.
Tanya is the most talented quilter I know! She's even been featured in a couple of quilting magazines, because of her amazing skills! Danny jokingly asked her for one of her quilts and she insisted on us taking one! She says she gets sick of looking at them after awhile :). She's made over 150 and only has 15, because she gives them away. I just love this quilt, it brightens my day every time I look at it!
Here are a few of my favorite quotes from General Conference.
